Heart of Darkness

So I found out we're reading this book in English, which I already read last year for the 'pick one out of these 3 books and write an essay at the end' thing in junior English. I actually liked it since Kurtz was totally the inspiration behind one of my characters, and Joseph Conrad just describes things so great... and some parts were sooooo funny it just killed me (The Russian telling Marlow all passionately that he and Kurtz talked about everything, including love and Marlow was like "Oh?" and the Russian got so pissed, and when Marlow and Kurtz were struggling in the woods and MArlow was like "I'll bludgeon your head with---" and then he looked around and saw there wasn't anything "I
ll choke you--!" I just find those parts hysterical).

Ivory is and important motif in the story, and Kurtz collection of heads on pikes was pretty creepy. I just wish the book had more of Kurtz being not deathly ill and actually being crazy running around in the jungle, but that's just me. I wanted to make an alternate cover, since almost every cover I've seen is just a river lined with trees. Also, I didn't render everything to death.
